BIOSCOPE

animated painting

Much in the style of painters like Pieter Bruegel the Elder and Hieronymus Bosch, this work shows a horde of gnomes terrorizing all kinds of harmless small animals. Using lenticular print to create the illusion of movement, this animation is more like a painting... or is it a painting that is more like an animation?

BIOSCOPE is a 2x4 lenticular print. The image shows movement as the viewer moves along.

After printing the final image, we hydraulically crushed all digital data. Making it impossible to create a copy. Brutally rendering uniqueness to the artwork. This happened during the unveiling of BIOSCOPE at Animafest in Zagreb, june 2017
